"Principal for the Day" with State Representative Terri Bryant at Waltonville Grade School

Through an initiative of The Illinois Principal's Association honoring principals across the state during the month of October for National Principals' Month, Principals were encouraged to host legislators at their schools as "Principal for the Day". Grade School 1st Quarter Accelerated Reader Awards

Four of our Jr. High students qualified for Accelerated Reader Awards during 1st quarter. Amy Dixon had a whopping 163 pts Malayna Bock had 83 pts. Lukus Kyles had 73.6 pts. Sophia Lewis had 50 pts. We are so proud of our Top Readers....Congratulations!

Waltonville Grade School Harriers Medal at Cross Country State Competition

Our State Cross Country Meet was held on October 14th. Waltonville Grade School had two students medal. Brandon Frank placed 32nd out of 210 runners and Micah Reynolds placed 34th out of 163 runners. WAY TO GO!

Family Reading Night at WCUSD1!

Students, parents, community members and WCUSD1 Staff enjoyed a fun-filled family reading night on October 12th at the Waltonville Grade School.  In addition to reading, Book-Themed Pumpkins, a Clue Crew in costume, classroom activities, and festive hallways were enjoyed by all in attendance.  The 2nd grade, led by Mrs. Mayville, also performed an entertaining play!  Thanks to all who came out to enjoy and to those who . . .
