Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment
Dual Credit classes are when a student takes a class at Waltonville High School and receives both high school and college credit. Dual Enrollment classes are when a high school student takes college classes at the college campus and gets college credit only while being in high school (such as night, online and/or summer classes).
Juniors and Seniors are allowed to take Dual Credit classes during the school year. Students may refer to the high school course catalog for dual credit options.
Sophomore, Juniors and Seniors are allowed to take dual enrollment classes starting the summer after their sophomore year. In order to take both dual credit and dual enrollment classes, students must pass the accuplacer test administered by Rend Lake College.
